What we do
The Italian Association of Donor Human Milk Banks (A.I.B.L.U.D.) promotes breastfeeding and donor human milk donation in collaboration with Neonatology units and Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
Inspired by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), AIBLUD encourages the use of donor human milk, coordinates existing milk banks nationally, and supports the creation of new banks in underserved areas.
Through the Guidelines developed with the Italian Society of Neonatology (SIN), and through research and continuous process improvement, we work to make donor human milk donation increasingly widespread, safe, and accessible.
